Tenders are currently invited by Chivas Brothers Ltd for a £9 million scheme to construct a new distillery and associated plant on the former Imperial Distillery site. The project has been designed by Archial Architects and code named 'Project Hidden Jewel' and it is expected to take 18 months to complete. The tender return date for the project is the 4th of March 2013.
