Costain/Vinci land work on £750m M4 scheme

Costain and Vinci have been awarded work on the £750M overhaul of the M4 in Wales.

Barr wins £25m Edinburgh Uni vets campus

Scottish contractor Barr has bagged the contract for a new building complex at University of Edinburgh’s Easter Bush Campus in Roslin, Midlothian.

The Atkins-designed scheme will provide veterinary students and university staff with specialist research facilities, as well as teaching laboratories, offices and an exhibition space.

Mace to leave massive Royal Wharf resi scheme

Mace is leaving the massive Royal Wharf residential scheme in London’s Docklands just months after being appointed construction manager on the first phase.

Mace was awarded the contract in December to deliver Phase 1 of the scheme by developers Oxley Developments and Ballymore.

B&K to build new South Shields library

Muse Developments and South Tyneside Council have chosen Bowmer and Kirkland to build “The Word” – South Shields’ new library and digital media centre.

Construction of the £7m library is the first phase of the wider redevelopment of South Shields town centre as part of the £100m “365 Master Plan”.
