Plans to build Britain's first floating village are in danger of collapsing after Newham's mayor said the project would fail to deliver sufficient affordable housing.

Batman Building to be converted

A building used as a location for the latest Batman film is to be converted into flats. Delta Point the former BT office in Wellesley Road, was used as the setting for Gotham General Hospital in The Dark Knight Rises. The building has been sold to Criterion Captial. Criterion Capital has been approval for a General Permitted Development Order. The office building is to be converted in approximately 261 x 1-bed and 138 x 2 apartments and 5 studios.
