Plans submitted for 9 commercial units

An application for the approval of reserved matters has been approved for a scheme by Linden Holdings Plc and Bovis Homes (South West) Ltd on a land parcel at Wright Road in Upper Rissington, Cheltenham. This scheme comprises of the construction of a Village Square to include a local convenience store of 447sqm, a public house of 305sqm, retail of 368sqm, a nursery of 530sqm and leisure use of 182sqm with 79 car parking spaces. ID Partnership are the architects who designed this £1.3 million scheme.

Plans submitted for £1.4m supermarket

Further detailed plans have been submitted for a scheme by Aldi Stores Ltd at 280 Nottingham Road in Basford, Nottingham. This scheme comprises of the demolition of buildings and the construction of an Aldi supermarket of 1,530sqm. Dalkin Scotton Partnership are the architects who designed this £1.4 million scheme.

Contractor awarded runway resurfacing contract

Lagan Construction have secured the £3.6 million runway resurfacing contract at St Marys Airport in St Marys for the Council of the Isles of Scilly. Works are to commence imminently and will take approval 5 months to complete.

Project involves resurfacing of hard runways 14,32 and 27 with conversion of grass runway 09 to hard surfacing; existing apron/stands/taxiway remodelling and resurfacing; new cargo/freight storage area and associated taxi way to runway 09; new rear terminal car park and access road including associated signage, drainage and lighting; surface waste drainage associated with the works; airfield ground lighting including runway edge lights, runway end lights, cliff markers and PAPI's, wind sock; runway line marking; new access road from apron to runway 14 and from runway 14 to existing fire tender building; resurfacing of Eastern helipad and associated access road; resurfacing works at the existing island roads and ATC technical equipment and desk replacement.
