Works due to start on Aldi store

Barnfield Construction Ltd are due to start on site in early February 2015 for a scheme by Aldi Stores Ltd and Rawdon Investments & Developments Ltd at the former Barkers Garden Centre site in Whalley Road and Littlemoor Road in Clitheroe. This scheme comprises of the construction of a supermarket of 1,520 sqm and a non-food retail unit of 557 sqm with 100 car parking spaces. Damson Design Limited are the architects who designed this £1.7 million scheme.

Plans submitted for supermarket

An amended detailed planning application has now been submitted for a scheme by J Sainsbury Plc and Whitacre Management Ltd at Eastrea Road in Whittlesey, Peterborough. This scheme comprises of the construction of a supermarket of 5,022sqm with a cafe, a petrol filling station and car wash with 398 car parking spaces. The project also includes the change of use of some agricultural land to form a Country Park. CHQ Partnership Ltd are the architects who designed this £5.3 million scheme.
