Partners picked for £137m London regeneration Countryside Development and Home Group Developments have been selected as the development partners for a £137m regeneration scheme in north London. Brent Borough Council picked the pair for the housing-led scheme, which will see the regeneration of the Peel Precinct in South Kilburn. Contractor wins tower deal on £250m Liverpool scheme Vermont Construction has won the contract to build the first tower on a £250m mixed-use scheme in Liverpool. Developer Elliot Group picked the Liverpool-based firm for the deal to deliver the 27-storey tower at the Infinity project. Tolent restarts work on £100m Carillion scheme Work has restarted on a £100m regeneration scheme in Sunderland that shut down following the collapse of Carillion in January. Sunderland City Council’s development partner Siglion has appointed Tolent Construction to complete one of the site’s main buildings, the Beam. Gateshead-based Tolent has now commenced work on the building, which will provide 59,000 sq ft of office and leisure space close to Sunderland city centre.
