A host of leading political and economic commentators will be sharing their forecasts for the UK construction industry at the next Glenigan Breakfast Briefing on 15 May.

Hilary Benn, Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, will be among the speakers at the event, due to be held at the Courthouse Hotel in London.

The Labour MP will be discussing his views on current government policy and taking questions from the audience on key issues set to impact UK construction companies over the next year.

He will be joined by Glenigan Economics Director Allan Wilén (pictured), who will present his latest sector and regional construction forecasts, and Don Ward, Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence.

Stephen Ratcliffe, Director of the UK Contractors Group (UKCG), will be chairing the event, which provides an opportunity for delegates to come together and discuss their industry predictions for 2014.

Robert Davis, Glenigan Content Director, said: “This event promises to offer a fascinating insight into what the next year will hold for UK construction across the political and economic landscapes.

“With the next general election just over a year away, we are delighted to welcome Hilary Benn MP to our list of confirmed speakers and attendees will have the opportunity to quiz him about the Shadow Cabinet’s plans for construction.

“Our previous breakfast briefings have proved extremely popular with our customers as they offer a great opportunity for networking with fellow industry professionals. This year looks set to be to be the biggest and best yet.”
