Funding sought for park & ride

A grant has been secured by North Yorkshire County Council for the park and ride facility proposed at Barkers Lane in Whitby. A further planning application is now also expected to be submitted to the National Parks, as the previous one has now expired. Design work is well underway for this scheme and it will also be retendered in due course. Works are now expected to commence during 2013 and be on site for approximate 12 months for the £6 million scheme.
