Peabody Group has acquired a derelict Plaistow Hospital site in East London for a mixed tenure residential development. Applications to tender for the £22 million construction contract are currently being invited. Pre-Qualification Questionnaires can be obtained from the agent, Baily Garner LLP by Friday 9th November 2012 and invitations to tender are scheduled to be dispatched on the 7th January 2013. The scheme is expected to provide approximately 168 new dwellings and will involve refurbishment of some of the existing buildings which will house some of the new flats for sale/rent. Work on site is anticipated to start in March 2013 for completion by spring 2015.
