Contractor awarded £5.5m framework

Solihull Community Housing has awarded Wates Construction to carry out envelope improvement works to low rise blocks of flats at various locations within the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull. Required works are to include new front and rear entrance screens and doors, door entry systems, new floor coverings, communal internal and external painting, improved lighting and external communal works to shed blocks. The value of a four-year contract is anticipated to total £5,4 million. Works are scheduled to commence on the 1st April 2013.
