Contractor appointed £43m scheme

London Borough of Ealing has appointed Willmott Dixon for the alterations to Acton Town Hall in London.

Work for the £43 million scheme will include internal and external alterations in association with the redevelopment of Acton Swimming Baths, Kings Rooms and Acton Town Hall.

Works will include redevelopment of the site to provide a building comprising a new swimming pool and learner pool with associated changing facilities, studio spaces, fitness suite, community facilities and a reception hall located behind the retained Kings Rooms facade and attached to the Town Hall Extension; change of use of the Town Hall Extension to a service centre on the ground floor and library on the first floor.

Work has started on site.
