Aecom acquires URS for £2.3bn

Aecom has announced it will buy engineering consultancy URS Corporation for US$4bn (£2.3bn).

Welsh Water confirms £1.5bn alliance partners

Morgan Sindall and Skanska are among the firms appointed in teams to Welsh Water’s £1.5bn capital investment programme for AMP6. The 2015 to 2020 programme also has the option to extend for a further five years. The company’s capital partners for 2015 to 2020 have been confirmed as:

• Skanska Construction UK working with Hyder Consulting (UK) 
• Mott Macdonald Bentley 
• Morgan Sindall working with Arup A Galliford Try Infrastructure and Aecom team is reserve partner on the programme. 

ISG takes controlling stake in Spanish firms

ISG has acquired a 50.1 per cent stake in Interior ISG Espana, a newly formed company with subsidiaries specialising in fit-out and date centre and engineering services.

Diseños y Adecuaciones (Diadec) provides office and retail fit out services. Emerald Telecom and Data Center (Emerald) provides data center and engineering services.

Balfour Beatty JV lands £300m Hong Kong deals

Balfour Beatty’s Hong Kong based joint venture Gammon Construction has won two building contracts worth around £300m.

The 50/50 joint venture with Jardine Matheson, has been awarded a HK$2.82 billion (£212m) contract by the Hong Kong Housing Authority for a public rental housing development in Tuen Mun in the New Territories.
