Shepherd has been awarded the last of the BSF projects

Telford & Wrekin Council has signed the final contracts with Shepherd Construction on its £200m Building Schools for the Future programme.

The contracts signed off are the £14m Holy Trinity Academy in Priorslee and the £9m Charlton School, which will relocate to the site vacated by the Blessed Robert Johnson School.

Skanska signs £95m contract for One Mitre Square

Developer Helical Bar has signed a £95m contract with Skanska to build its One Mitre Square office complex in the city.

The 273,000 sq ft scheme, now known as the Creechurch Place development, has been in the pipeline for more than 10 years.

Willmott Dixon wins planning for Bournemouth University

Plans for a new £22m building at Bournemouth University have been approved.

The decision means Willmott Dixon can start on site this summer with completion due in 2016.

Balfour Beatty workers uncover suspected bomb at York site

A suspected world war mortar shell forced the evacuation of a Balfour Beatty construction site in York yesterday evening.

North Yorkshire Police were called to a Park and Ride site under construction at Askham Bar, York, at 3.55pm on 16 April after workers uncovered a suspected bomb.
