A select list of contractors is being drawn up for the £100 million coastal defence scheme in Lancashire. The Rossall and Anchorsholme scheme are two coastal defence schemes for Blackpool Borough Council that are to be tendered as one scheme and be procured through a design and build basis.
Works are expected to commence 2013/2014 and take 4 years to carry out. The scheme will involve rebuilding 1.9 km of coastal defence with either rock armour or concrete seawall and potentially re-charging the breach.
