Heathrow Airport is working on a revised plan for its third runway that could see £3bn slashed from its construction bill. The airport is working on a new blueprint for expansion that could see it drop the original plan to build a 14-lane section of the M25 running through a 600 m tunnel under the new runway in favour of a cheaper and quicker alternative. Read the full article on the Construction News website London ranked 5th in Arcadis' 2016 Sustainable Cities Index In the 2016 Sustainable Cities Index, compiled by consultant Arcadis, London is ranked in fifth place, behind Zurich, Singapore, Stockholm and Vienna, but ahead of major global cities including New York, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, San Francisco and Abu Dhabi.
