Bidding opens for £430m Glasgow framework Glasgow City Council has launched the bidding for a new £430m framework covering infrastructure works across the city and surrounding areas. The framework will cover construction and civil engineering schemes over the next three years, including road surfacing, public realm works and bridge installation. Morgan Sindall wins £60m service station deal Morgan Sindall has announced it has won a £60m contract to build a new service station in Yorkshire. The contractor was appointed by Extra MSA Group to construct the main buildings at a new services at J45 of the M1 near Leeds. Morgan Sindall is tasked with building a food court, a 100-bedroom hotel and parking areas. Work is expected to begin on the scheme this autumn, with the deadline for completion scheduled for summer next year. Read the full article on the Construction News website.

Interserve among winners on £400m North-west frameworks Procure North West has revealed the winners on its Lite and Services frameworks, worth a combined £400m. Interserve Engineering, NG Bailey, Seddon and TClarke were among the heavyweights to land places on the Services deal, which is the higher value of the two. The Services framework comprises regional mechanical and electrical work and covers projects worth £50,000-£10m, while the Lite deal is for minor jobs worth £50k-£1m.
