£1.7bn Royal Albert Dock development moves closer

The development of the £1.7bn Royal Albert Dock has moved a step forward, after The Greater London Authority gave the go-ahead towards full planning approval to developers ABP.The 4.7M sq ft area is designed to be a business district for companies from Asia. Work on the 35 acre site is expected to start later this year, with the first phase completed in 2018. The project includes upgrading the local transport infrastructure including Docklands Light Railway and Crossrail stations.
