Plans submitted for residential development

Galliford Try, part of preferred bidder consortium Solutions 4 Brunswick, has submitted a detailed planning application for Brunswick Housing PFI scheme in Manchester. The scheme including construction of 444 new residential units and refurbishment of 839 homes will include selective demolition to allow the phased redevelopment of the Brunswick Neighbourhood. The scheme will also provide a new boulevard, mixed use building with retail units, neighbourhood housing office with 18 apartments above, residential extra care home, day care centre, upgraded Gartside Gardens and an orchard, allotments, new open spaces with associated infrastructure, landscaping and tree planting. Financial close for the PFI contract is anticipated to be reached during autumn 2013 with work on the 25-year regeneration starting next year.
