Glenigan wins development pipeline tender for DCLG

Construction intelligence providers Glenigan has won a competitive tender to supply planning application and development pipeline data to the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

Glenigan will collate and analyse private/domestic and commercial applications data from 350 planning authorities across England after being awarded the contract, which commenced on 1 August 2014.

The data will be used by DCLG to understand the range of applications and timing of the development stages, and will be key in assessing the impact of planning reforms.

As well as being business critical to DCLG, the Cabinet Office will use the data to monitor development and the Homes and Communities Agency will use it for both policy and in operational delivery.

Glenigan was chosen to work with DCLG following a formal tender process that assessed the quality of its planning data and robust research procedures.
