Tenders are to be invited late 2012 for the £10 million public space proposal for Sunderland City Council.
The works, which are expected to commence Spring 2013, will include a new junction, high quality pedestrianized public open space, hard and soft landscaping, demolition and traffic management.
The works will be carried out along the A183, Livingstone Road and St. Mary's Way.
