CIT Developments has awarded Mace Group for a £200 million development at Kings Reach Tower, Southwark in London. Work will include refurbishment, recladding and extension of the tower and podium buildings to provide a mixed use development. Six additional storeys will be added to the tower for residential use and floors 11 to 30 of the tower will be changed from offices to residential use to provide a total of 177 flats. Preliminary works have start on site with main construction work due to start late 2012.
