Kier gets approval for Broadmoor redevelopment and new unit at St Bernard's

Kier has been given the go-ahead to proceed with the redevelopment of Broadmoor Hospital and a new male medium secure unit at St Bernard’s Hospital.

Costain confirms £100m contract for M6-Heysham link

Costain has been awarded the £100m contract for the M6 – Heysham link road by Lancashire County Council. Funding for the new link was confirmed by transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin last week. It was originally approved in 2009 by the previous government, and was again given permission to proceed in 2011.

Sir Howard Davies sidelines Boris Island plans as focus shifts to cost and design
 
The construction costs of airport expansion and the transport and infrastructure required to support them will be major considerations for the Airports Commission in deciding which scheme or schemes to recommend. The commission published its interim report this week, shortlisting three schemes: an additional runway at Gatwick and two different options for extra runway capacity at Heathrow.

Galliford Try to start £100m Manchester housing scheme
 
Galliford Try has reached financial close on a £100m housing-led regeneration scheme in Brunswick, east Manchester, to start early next year. It will deliver the regeneration as part of the S4B joint venture, with investor Equitix and Contour Homes.
