Tenders have been invited for a £60m aircraft engine research centre funded jointly by Birmingham University and Rolls Royce.The centre will develop future efficient generations of aero engines and carry out casting, design, simulation and advanced manufacturing research facility.

A project manager is being sought to undertake architectural and engineering services, urban planning and landscape engineering and scientific and technical consulting services.

The preferred location for the high temperature research centre is Ansty Park, adjacent to an existing manufacturing technology centre which carries out collaborative research for Birmingham University and other Midland partnering Universities along with industrial partners.
