Contractor sought for infrastructure works

Contractor awarded bridge replacement

Network Rail has awarded the Windsor Road Bridge Replacement in Cardiff to Kier Construction in Sandy. The £2m design and build contract was due to commence Summer 2014, however due to issues with the ground the contract is now being re-designed. Work is now anticipated to commence December 2014.

Contractor starts on supermarket

ISG Plc has started work on site for a scheme by WM Morrison Supermarket Plc at their store in Summer Lane at Locking Castle, Weston-Super-Mare. This scheme comprises of the £1 million refurbishment of the store. Work started on site in early August 2014 and is due to complete on 22nd October 2014.

Plans approved for supermarket

Detailed plans were approved at the planning committee on 20th August 2014, subject to the signing of a Section 106 legal agreement, on a scheme by Cedar House Investments Ltd at the former Society Linen site at Daleside Road in Nottingham. The planning application is part of a hybrid planning application. This scheme, which is covered by the detailed plans, comprises of the construction of a supermarket of 1,531sqm together with other retail units of 2,787sqm and 235 car parking spaces. DLG Architects are the architects who designed the £4.5 million scheme.
