How much will it cost?
It is part of your subscription to help you so that you get the most from your partnership with EMAP Glenigan.
Can all my reps have access?
Yes of course – you can pass on the CD to them. If necessary we can send additional copies of the QuickStart pack to them
How can I receive my information?
We can send you it via an email each week or you can download whenever you like from www.glenigan.com .
I’m currently on paper and my reps on the road don’t have laptops so what use is it to us?
Try using it centrally in your head office – you can still get paper as well if you wish (either centrally or sent out individually to each rep)
but it will save you time in managing the data and allow you to be more successful (mailmerging, recall system etc) and you can use it to build up a
database of contacts for pro-active marketing in the future
Is this compatible with my existing database?
This is a standalone system but it can export data into other databases if required – it would be possible to export data from Advantage2 into a CSV file and then using your own import procedure you could get it into your own database.
Can it be networked?
No – for a networkable version we have negotiated a preferential deal with the developers although this is NOT free. Please contact alan.murray@glenigan.emap.com for an order form and pricing structure.
Can I email projects straight from it?

Haven’t got a CD facility on my p.c.?
If you are connected to a network, it would be possible to share a CD drive with a server or another computer connected to the network. Alternatively we have a download area where the program can be downloaded from our website.
Do I have to receive my info weekly; can I get it fortnightly or monthly?
If you upgrade to internet access you can download daily, weekly, monthly or whenever you want. Also we are able to offer Fortnightly and Monthly outputs if you require. Please contact terry.jarman@glenigan.emap.com
Can I add my own notes?
Yes - see the user guide - you can also track projects through the diary and recall and add your own “user defined” information too
How will it help me get extra orders?
It saves your time in administration, searching and managing the leads, which means that you now have more time for selling. It also ensures you make the most of every opportunity we give you and that you do not miss out on any contracts.
Can we trial it and if so for how long?
You can keep your copy forever – we will organise sending you emails for the next month and then contact you back to see how you want the data in future (e.g. paper, email or both?)
Can we have back data? If yes how far back?
We can provide a re-run of past data for you, however if this is a considerable amount then there may be an administration and IT setup charge we will have to apply.
Will there be updates to the Advantage2 program?
We will be developing Advantage2 with your feedback and further versions will be developed following this as part of your continuing subscription with EMAP Glenigan.
Is a user guide available for you to post to me?
There is a full user guide in the pack. If you require more copies you can download the PDF’s from our website (below) or you can access the PDF on the CD itself. These can be emailed, printed or saved to a CD.
Can I have extra disks? If yes how many?
Yes of course – although you may pass your CD on to colleagues which may be used over and over again on different PC’s. If you require a large amount of additional CD’s we may have to levy an admin & production charge.
Is the emailing of our information reliable?
Yes – we have invested a significant amount of IT development work to streamline and strengthen our emailing systems so you can rely on a robust delivery system. We can also re-send missing files immediately – cutting down on the delay in relying on traditional postage.
What IT support do you offer?
Our entire hotline and client support team are fully trained is to handle most queries and our specialist IT support section can deal with more detailed enquiries. A simple “lesson” can be provided over the phone by Client Support – walking you through the functions available within the package. However the package has been specifically designed to be simple, easy and reliable.
